HOME AGAIN HOME AGAIN JIGGITY JIG

Hello again! I promise to be more consistent, so here I am!!! Happy?

Today is my first day back in the big city since going home for Christmas. It was the perfect amount of time off. I even got to surprise my boyfriend in Kentucky, which was, of course, so very much fun and sweet and cute. I flew into Lexington and stayed with him there for a few days until he drove me to meet my mom and brother halfway to my hometown, so they could take me the rest of the way back. The trip is 4 and a half hours total, but splitting it up made it fly by. I’m sure it also helped that I slept the entirety of the second half of the trip after my mom, brother, and I enjoyed a nice Waffle House meal together in The Middle of Nowhere, Tennessee. There’s nothing I love more.

After getting home, my siblings and I only had about 48 hours to cram in all of the Christmas movies humanly possible. They usually wait to watch our favorites until I’m home so we can all watch together, but this year they watched a good majority of them without me. This is actually punishable by up to 15 years in prison if I decided to go through with pressing charges. But instead, I made them rewatch a couple of my favorites and we made do.

Santa came and brought me a pair of beautiful pink roller skates, which were #1 A pain in the ass to get to New York and #2 Actually kind of terrifying to use in public AKA anywhere besides circles around my kitchen island. It’s not as easy as it looks, ladies and gents. Trust me.

I got called off of work today, because, as we all know, the entire city of New York is ridden with covid at the moment. So, I took it upon myself to take the subway to Central Park, put my little pink roller skates on, and do the best that I could. Which, to be honest, was not very good. However, it was super fun playing the infamous game of “Let’s See How Long It Takes Until I Bust My Ass.”

And, fret not! I will keep you updated on my roller skating journey. It might just be my new thing!

Well, that’s all for now. Happy Holidays, friends.

See ya next time. XOXO, Ella
